Oscar Pistorius judgement and subsequent sentencing shows that in South Africa, the perpetrator is more important than the victim. You can kill someone, claim that you thought they were an intruder, and literally get away with murder (excuse the pun). Even though the media has announced that Reevas family has accepted the sentence and they believe justice has been done, I personally have a hard time understanding, and accepting the outcome of this trial. I do understand that Oscar is disabled, however, the correct sentence, equal to the crime (life) was supposed to be given. Im hurt, not only for Reeva but also for other women who die senseless deaths in the hands of their lovers. I know and I understand that I dont know much about law, but my heart tells me all this is not fair. May Reevas gentle soul rest in peace. #sad
