Osman Hummaida, the rarest kind of human rights pioneers in Sudan, is no longer with us. That is just too hard to take in and one cannot imagine what or who will take his place in our midst and our struggles. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. I never got to meet Azza and the kids, as he always mentioned them in every conversation, but we have all felt we knew them. May the good lord grant them patience and peace. Good bye friend of the down trodden. It is the struggle for dignity of us all that took your life. May the almighty rest your soul in eternal peace.
