Our December Featured Artist Hank Williams kicked off 1951 with arguably the biggest hit of his lifetime when he ran Cold, Cold Heart up to the top of the country charts and watched a new pop star named Tony Bennet run a pop version up the charts as well. The Jersey born Bennett was hesitant to cut the song in fear that the record label would turn him into a Cowboy singer. Hank called up Tony and asked him Tony, why did you ruin my song? .
