Our HS students had the privilege of being invited by the University of the Sacred Heart to a special lecture by His Excellency Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. Mr. Modi chose to come to the University because there are 8 sister schools in India but also because he heard about our students and the many contributions the graduates have made to society. His speech was on the importance of womens role in society and government. Mr. Modi believes women should be placed in decision making positions and in his Cabinet, although only 100 days old, 25% are women. He added that many countries in Asia have or have had women leaders. Prime Minister Modi ended his speech with Science of thinking, the Art of Living. Studies of science and technology are important but humanities is just as important.
