Our Open Build Night: Food Hacks was this past Friday. It was amazing with a wide range of projects being shown off and for the food hacks we saw: * Soda jerk station setup with Clint * Beer being brewed with Chip * An active forge being used to make forks, jewelry and more which then turned the forge into a cooking surface to make some amazing spent grain pizzas (spent grain from a recent batch of beer) * Variety of seafood and pasta/noodles cooked in bags with hot water * Laser Cut Gingerbread house * Laser Etched Ham and Cheese sandwiches with pictures of yours truly * Noodle and Meat Hack using a crockpot * White Chocolate Roses with dipping station * Sugar Skull decorations and candy * Homemade Chips * Cremebrule made with a torch And 5 other stations that I cannot describe (were all mighty tasty). We are now gearing up for the next Open Build Night on December 06, 2013. Get your carving and wood working skills in order as we are hosting our first 757 Makerspace Pine Wood Derby Race. Get your maker thoughts ready as there will be two categories (one including motors for those of you interested in upping the speed). Official rules posted by the middle of next week so get your kits from Michaels, the local Boy Scout Store, Amazon, etc... or repurpose that special one from years past and let it ride one more time!
