Our President is sweating but its feathers is obscurity us from noticing it. The Federal government under the able leadership of President GEJ has mill out another policy attempted at finding solution to the monumental problems facing our dear nation, he has announced the list of the delegates to discuss ways to fix the faulty Nigeria in d forth coming Jonathan Constitution Conference. In as much as I sincerely desire that this latest effort works, events of the past leaves me with a lot of doubt especially when he kept doing the same thing in the same way, expecting a different outcome will be unrealistic otherwise one will be tagged kolomental! Our president is really trying, he has over the past 3 years set up committees to find solution to Plateau state crisis, Boko Haram crisis, rebranded PHCN (Old NEPA), revitalised Railway network, flag off and re-flag off 2nd Niger Bridge and Lagos-Ibadan express way. He even commissioned a economy committee headed by Madam Ngozi, rehabilitate the Niger Delta militants, promised to battle corruption to stand still, reform the NNPC and oil sector, reform aviation sector and in the process spending trillions of scarce resource money but all that our president got for his hardwork has been poor light, bad roads, more anarchy, more killings, unprecedented stealing in NNPC, plane crashes, kidnappings (even his our cousin has bn kidnapoed) and poor performance in the last few outings of the previously not-so-bad INEC under Jega. The diabolical feathers sabotaging the presidents efforts remain the deep seated corruption and impunity. Our president has since day one surrounded himself with light fingers personality, in fact he romances them,celebrates them and refuses to give a damn about the effect on the psychic of the larger society. These people have stolen the rewards of his efforts and maybe soon his ambitions, dreams and legacy. The newly constituted NC is a typical example, the credibily of certain individuals is already distracting from it even before set-go, the same people that have driven us from the land of Hopes in1960 to the place of near destitute, those that have engineered policies of devide and rule, selfishness and disorders have been commissioned to come and dibe again. If I am skeptical, pls forgive me. I guess its because am not insane expecting the government to do the same thing same way over and over again yet expecting different results. Rara oooo!
