Our Turn: Thanksgiving - We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. The great meal that most of us enjoy at Thanksgiving is symbolic of our good fortune, and this time of year offers many wonderful opportunities for us to share. For example, you can make donations the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank at the Associated Food Stores as youre shopping for your holiday groceries. Coca Cola is partnering with them to bring their Santa Truck to different grocery stores and theres a list of times and dates on our website. St. Vincent de Paul again this year is providing toys for needy children. You can drop off your donations at their main campus. And of course, theres the Salvation Army which has their red kettles set up in convenient shopping locations throughout the area, and theyve also come with clever ways to host your own Red Kettle drive online.
