Our beloved Alice Tripp, 96, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014. She was a leader of the farmer resistance to build a high-voltage power across central Minnesota. Small in stature, but mighty in both words and action. She will be greatly missed! In an April 1978 poll, the Minneapolis Tribune asked Minnesotans whether they sided with the farmers or the utilities. Sixty-three percent said they sided with the farmers.
