Our choir has stood for many years With watching eyes and listening ears. They have shared their thoughts on many things, From sobbing brides and wedding rings, To the baptism of a new born child Always patient and beguiled. They’ve watched the grieving family crying, Shared the pain of sorrow and dying, Always ready to sing what is asked Our choir are willing, whatever tasked. Our choir are all of various ages In life we have all reached different stages, Some are younger and some are older, Some are quiet, some are bolder. We all sing to tell the Christian story To praise our Lord and his glory We spread his word through what we sing Thanking him for everything. We may not always sound the best Missing a beat or a rest, Our voices sometimes let us down, Resulting in a look or frown. These moments really do not matter All forgotten in post service chatter. We sing because we love to share The gifts that God implanted there To give our services to his praise Up to heaven our voices raise. CES
