Our client, a market leader in the Primary Mortgage Industry with Head Office in Abuja , Federal Capital Territory and Branches in other states, seeks a dynamic experienced professional to provide leadership and direction for its retail market. The individual, working as an industry expert will be leading other dynamic and highly motivated professionals, to take the organization to the next stage of growth and development. Position Location: Abuja, Nigeria Position Description: The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director, and supervise the Regional Heads. He/She will be responsible for the following; Support and drive the implementation of the organization’s strategic vision and plan Champion the growth drive in developing a robust client base Forge strategic alliances and relationship on behalf of the organisation Facilitate the design and implementation of effective retail marketing strategies, aimed at meeting customer needs Ensure that the business actions, plans, and goals uphold the organization’s reputation for quality and integrity Oversee the smooth running of business activities in all regions with respect to deposit mobilization and income generation for retail mortgage Play a leading role in on-going identification of new revenue streams for the business and oversee the product development process for such opportunities Build and maintain relationships with customers and ensures customer satisfaction with services delivered by the organization Develop new products and services, facilitate a strategic market for the new products in line with organisation’s mission and strategy Prepare the division’s budget in line business strategy and ensure its effective implementation Keep abreast of regulations, government policies and other developments that may affect the operations, business activities, goals and objectives of the division Oversee marketing campaigns and other business development initiatives Carry out other duties as assigned by the Managing Director/CEO Specifications: Educational Qualification Minimum of Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and background in a numerate or semi-numerate discipline, such as accounting, economics, banking, finance, actuarial science, statistics and mathematics Professional Qualification Membership of relevant professional association will be an added advantage Experience Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience of which at least 10 must have been in the Financial Services Sector in top/senior management position Skills and Competencies: Strategic management (formulation and implementation) skills In-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of Retail banking, marketing – advertising, brand management, market/sector targeting, product development etc Deep insight and understanding of local and international practices in Financial Services Industry with emphasis on the mortgage, retail and small business banking sub-sectors.
