Our community is safer and stronger BECAUSE of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. so lets make this a teachable moment because this isnt just a funny joke, its actually upsetting. Drag isnt just performance (its that too) in the gay community, the Sisters were publishing AIDS prevention pamphlets when the government was dithering. To the gay community the Sisters are guardians and protectors. This is so incredibly San Francisco, but even the city credited Sister Roma in a public service announcement to promote voting. #MyNameIsRoma
