Our first Winter Sunday (6pm to 9.15pm) event of 2014/2015 took place last Sunday at The Home Guard. We do these events after the clocks go back in the winter and up until March. For the first time at Barnes Rock we welcomed The Deputies and everyone there thoroughly enjoyed their selection of 60’s and 70’s songs, a very accomplished band with excellent musicians. The dance floor was full and everyone encouraged us to have the Deputies again, so we will! On Tuesday 11th November, it’s Second Tuesday of the month once again with the 60’s Allstars. We’re not so full that we turn anyone away but there is no doubt that more and more people are coming each month for a great evening with JD, Alan, Del and Mick. And finally, it’s Blues Night this Tuesday (4th November) at The Home Guard and Brian Coope has organised Ma Polaine’s Great Decline.
