Our first day as outpatient started early 6:45 Eastern time ,as we didnt know how long it would take us to get Tony ready. He started at 8:30 with his new case manager& talked about what he wanted to achieve & what goals he wanted to set for himself. He had meetings with his new team of therapists OT & PT & had beginning evaluations with both. Also met his new recreational therapist, Chris, who immediately warmed up to Tony. He will try to get him on a fishing outing & ATV outing. He also has shooting outings with air rifles & actually let us both shoot one at an inside target. $3000 target pellet rifle with a hair trigger. Tony touched it too quick & shot the wall behind the target. When we went to look there were quite a few more holes where others had done the same thing . We laughed about it then. We hope to do more shooting & fishing therapy in the future. Tony picked out a wheelchair he would love to have. I will post pics of it. It runs on rubber tracs instead of wheels. Pretty neat but pricey at $15K bare. All in all we had another good day as Tonys health is still good with no major problems associated with SCI. Praise God for this!!!
