Our gorgeous dog Shadow, passed away this morning. Around 6am, I found her lying in her favourite place between the trees at the side of our deck not wanting to move at all, her breathing quite bad. She has been back and forth from the Vets since Thursday, but yesterday for a few hours she livened up after having another antibiotic & also a pain injection. The vet found that she also had a stomach infection, beside her throat problems. Her breathing was so laboured last night, we didnt know if she would be with us this morning. As Alec said goodbye to her as he headed off to work, she acknowledged him with her eyes, but didnt move. When he left, I covered her in her pink towel, gave her a rub and said, Just close your eyes and go to sleep .. around 8am, thats what she did. No more pain our gorgeous loyal dog. RIP xoxo
