Our intern seminarian Todd Milner will offer the sermon this coming Sunday. While Todd and his wife Dawn have been a welcome part of St. Pauls family for several months now, we thought you might be interested not just in his plans for becoming a pastor, but also his background. Todd likes to refer to himself as a cradle Lutheran. He was born and baptized in Marion, OH. He was confirmed at Timothy Lutheran Church there and later earned a BA in Communication from BGSU and a degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Todd is a licensed funeral director/embalmer and has lived in the Toledo area snce 1985. His home parish is Olivet in Sylvania. He is a three term City Council member. Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN has created a special program for people who are called to be pastors. In this program, the seminarians complete the rigorous studies but remain with their families and continue in their careers. Todd is a third year seminarian and balances those studies with his day job as Sales Manager for Sauder Funeral Products. He hopes to graduate in Spring, 2017. If you see several people in the Milner family pew from time to time its because there are 6 children between the ages of 15-28. Two of his sons are Marine Corp veterans and there are now 3 grandsons. Todd and Dawn, you are a blessing to our congregation!
