Our latest work. Cinematic of the game War Thunder “Victory is ours” gathered more than 850 views in the day it was posted on YouTube. Video was posted by the post-production company POSTMODERN. Team of 20 people could accomplish work within 12 weeks. The idea of cinematic was developed by Egor Borschevsky and Dmitry Ovcharenko (POSTMODERN) and Pavel Kulikov (Gaijin). Shootings of actors were held in Ukraine in spring of 2014. “At this project we have implemented live shooting along with CG-frames that is generally considered to be a rare thing in cinematic development,” - Egor Borschevsky, the director of POSTMODERN, said. - “It seemed to us a better way to emphasize emotions, and that was vastly important for us to have in the cinematic”. A plot of cinematic is built around confrontation of Moscow defenders and faceless nazi military machine. In October of 1941 advancement of German army group ‘Center’ took off in direction of Moscow, and only in half a year later after fierce enemy fighting Germans were thrown off from capital. In the fields near Moscow the first major defeat of the German army in World War II was caused, the myth of its invincibility was scattered, and on May 9, 1945, after the Battle of Berlin, Germany signed the surrender. To heroism of the defenders of Moscow and all the participants of the Great Patriotic War we dedicate our new video. The soundtrack to this mini-film with live actors is a cover of the song Do not hurry, the world-famous singer Anna Herman (lyrics by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, the composer Arno Babajanyan). Contemporary sound was provided by the band Murakami that has recorded a cover version specifically for our video. Performance of the band with the premiere of the video took place at the exhibition Comic Con Russia on October 4. Additional materials about the shooting of mini-film will be published later.
