Our next Global Prayer will focus on the LABELING OF GMO FOODS. Please join us Tuesday evening, Oct. 15 at 8pm (Eastern US) for an hour of connecting with others across the globe via teleconference, webcast and Skype. This weeks visualization: A PRAYER FOR THE LABELING OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOODS. Between now and November 5, voters in the state of Washington are casting votes to decide whether labeling GMOs will be required in the state. If it passes, it will be the first state in the US where this law will be fully in effect. Initiative 522 will require seeds, raw agricultural commodities, and processed foods to reveal their GMO content. This is occurring while mounting research published in peer-reviewed journals reveals a wide variety of health hazards in humans from ingesting GMOs. Finally, enough people are concerned to push forward what seems to be the most publicized GMO initiative to date. The GMO labeling cause is a world-wide effort to require the farming and food industries everywhere to fully label what they are doing so the consumer can exercise a fair choice.
