Our next meeting will be Tuesday, August 27, 7:00 pm, at the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce building, 154 South Main, Tooele City. The public is invited to join us to hear Sheryl Gillilan, Executive Director of Art Access, speak about this organization and how it has provided ways for people with disabilities and those from underserved communities to actively participate in the world of cultural arts. She will also touch on how the organization grew from being composed of volunteers in 1984, as we are now, to what it is today with its own gallery and paid personnel. Hopefully, it will provide inspiration for what our future can hold for us. The project for the August meeting is to do a work of art in the medium of your choice using surrealism. Bring the completed artwork to the meeting.
