Our trip from Whitefield to Poulsbo was long, but uneventful. We drove over Sugar Hill and stopped briefly in Franconia Notch on the way to Boston. Left Logan at 6:45 and arrived in Seattle a few minutes ahead of schedule (9:45 PST). All the news about flooding had us worried, but we only spent a few minutes in rain clouds over the Cascade Mountains, and the sky was clear over our silver city when we landed. Thanks to the early arrival, we were able to make the 10:55 ferry to Bainbridge Island and fell into bed at midnight (3:00 a.m. in Whitefield). We were pretty tired, but Steve [Superman!] did go to work on Tuesday. It was so good to see most of our family last week!
