Our vet was able to tell us that our bird was wild caught in Africa! She could tell by the type of band he has on his ankle. We were also able to tell that he was shipped in the U.S through Florida. As this practice was stopped sometime between 91-93 from what Ive been told, this makes Billy at least 20 years old! I cant imagine what kind of monster would dare to snatch these beautiful birds and their eggs from their natural habitats, but we are so happy to have our little African child. Im feelin all Sandra Bullock over here.
