Out for Comment: Idahos Statewide Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan Cycling Enthusiasts, FYI. The Idaho Transportation Dept. has just developed a Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and its out for public comment until May 2, 2014. Its really a high level recommendations guide for communities in Idaho to develop Bicycle and Pedestrian plans and reasons why they many want to do so. Heres a link to a brief overview of the plan, the plan, and contact information if you want to provide feedback. i-way.org/announcements/statewide-bicycle-and-pedestrian-plan-open-for-public-comment If any of you were involved in providing input or meeting with the Statewide Advisory Committee, thank you - I noticed feedback from Moscow residents was included. If this is the first youve seen or heard of the plan, maybe there are some good recommendations for our area though again, its pretty high level. Just in case you dont know me, Im new to Moscow, hired as the Mobility Manager for the Community Transportation Association of Idaho (under contract to ITD to fulfill mobility services). My job is to make mobility (public transportation, biking, walking etc) happen where ever possible, brokering the needs with known available resources. My office is located in the Intermodal Transit Center, next to SMART. Let me know if you have any questions and if you find yourself at the ITC, stop in and say hi. [Suzanne Seigneur] (Welcome to Moscow Suzanne!)
