Out with Matt from Melbourne yesterday. Took a while on a very sloppy sea and plenty of pest fish like this Sgt Baker, but we ended up with dinner to share. Went straight past the Tomakin boat ramp to see if the old girl would make it up to Bens Boathouse. It did and we were so hot and fried we had to stay a while, as, er, a storm came in. Took Ben and his impressive mob up the creel for a troll before the heavens opened. Ended up parking the boat there for the night to fill up with the buckets that came down. Washed the rods down though. Eventually the girls put one and one together and joined us. Impromptu party- fresh fish cooked by a talented chef on the water during a thunderstorm. Memorable.
