Over 5,000 job openings await South Florida residents, veterans and former law enforcement at a day-long career event being held on Wednesday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Plantation in Plantation, Florida. The event, Putting America Back to Work, will connect employers and those looking for employment. Radio station 850 AM-WFTL is hosting the day. As part of the event, national radio and FOX News host Geraldo Rivera will be broadcasting live from 9 a.m. to 12-noon followed by 850-AM radio host Joyce Kaufman from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The hiring event will feature two large rooms of employers; companies looking to hire veterans and one for area residents currently in the job market. Businesses represented include Bank of America; Ryder Truck, Walmart, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, Adcahb/Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Nextera FPL, Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches among others.
