Over the last 30 years I have watched more than a few people pass - TopicsExpress

Over the last 30 years I have watched more than a few people pass on. Some violently, others silently. I have some who left wondering what was happening, a couple enraged that it was happening to them, a few crestfallen that their time was done, but each with their own ideas on what they would or would not do or meet or atone for or find in an afterlife. Not all but more than a couple spoke of whether or not they accepted or rejected the concept. What I have taken away from all of that was a simple thought, whether we choose to accept the teachings of our forefathers, whether or not we choose to accept the teachings of a church or synagogue or book has nothing to do with our final moments or our rational view of our existence, the key word is believe. Its not about the name we place on our figurehead, its not about gender, its not about whose right and whose wrong, it is not about who was a prophet and/or for whom, it is about belief. I may not like the eventuality of dealing with the end of my time on this earth, be it 10 or 50 years from now, but I take solace in what I believe, I find hope in my perception of its promise and no one or no one thing can change that. I sincerely hope you can all find the same, I bid you peace.
