Over the past 2 weeks, I have read 6 books - A Drink Before the War and Darkness Take My Hand, by Dennis Lehane; Janet Evanovich - Eighteen, Nineteen and Twenty in the Stepahnie Plum Series and Keep Quiet by Lisa Scottoline. LeHane is one of my favorite new (recently discovered) authors. He wrote Shutter Island, which was the first book I read. The 2 I just finished by him are the first 2 in a series of 6 detective novels. I already read Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone from the series and I have 2 more on the nightstand ready to be read. I am one book away from reading the complete Evanovich series. I love her books and usually read one after reading something a little more serious and dark. The Scottoline book was the first I read by her, loaned to me by a friend, but I will definitely be reading more. I would much rather read than watch TV!
