Over the past days it was amusing to see this multi-million dollar entertainment exercise for the Indian people, the Obama visit. It was a three day Bollywood masala thriller. The Indian people and media funnily looked like that boy who falls for the smile of a pretty girl despite knowing well that all she needs is for him to run a few errands for her. Sixty years back a similar entertainment exercise was done in Pakistan. Unfortunately for them their politicians didnt know and fortunately and hopefully for India, I hope some of its educated and important people, politicians and bureaucrats know that relations between two countries are not run in a way similar to a loser boy taking a pretty girl on a fortunate one time date which will only involve footing the bills for what she eats. Hope good sense prevails on the Indian people in future and the loss incurred is only the one time million dollar hospitality bill.
