Over the past few months, I have witnessed amazing things from people that have supported my family and I. I need to give a shout out to one of the most incredible women that I know, Shannon Reavley. I met Shannon through NuCerity a couple years ago and I connected with her the moment I met her. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is one of the strongest people I know. When we formed Annes Army this year, Shannon contacted me and said she wanted to do something. Not only was she doing the run in Regina, but she wanted to raise money. Shannon took the initiative at work to run a 50/50 draw. She worked hard at it over the last month and today was the draw. In total, they sold tickets totalling $960.00. It seems so fitting that a single mom at her work won the portion of $480 today, and Shannon topped up the donation amount to $500 and placed it in our moms name under Annes Army. I know Shannon has gone through her own journeys of loss and pain, and to turn her experiences into help for others makes me realize the strength she has gained. I only pray I can be like Shannon when others need me to be. Shannon, thank you for being YOU. For your empathetic heart, for your initiative to change lives, and for your inspiration. I hope you know how much it means to my family, and how great of an impact you have had on us. With Shannons donation topping up Annes Army, as a team we have raised $7465.00 for Breast Cancer! WOW is all I can say! I know our mom is looking down right now so proud of all of us. WE have made a difference.
