Over the past week, Will Potter has been travelling around Australia with a cautionary tale. His story is about ag-gag laws and he’s here because this type of legislation is gaining support in Australia from politicians on both sides of the fence. While this is a worrying development, Will’s been sharing a silver lining with audiences: “Australians have an opportunity that we lacked in the US: you can stop these dangerous proposals before they ever become law. If there is one thing I have learnt in my reporting on ag-gag laws, it is the power of an informed public to create change.” Take a minute this afternoon to read Will’s opinion piece in the The Sydney Morning Herald - smh.au or register for one of Will’s lectures here: voiceless.org.au/lecture
