Over the past year the readers of this site have posted MANY great images from their own family photo albums. I will save these images on my computer from time to time when they catch my eye, here are just a few. Its your families that made up the old neighborhoods and its YOU that will keep those memories alive. The first couple unfortunately I forgot who provided them, but the first one I just LOVE. Our reader and her mother in Kroje (Czech folk costume) in their back yard on 24th & Springfield in Lawndale/Little Village, circa 1940s. I just want to step into this photo and walk around! The next one is from another reader whom I forget his name right now, but these are his decedents with their car in front of their home at 2535 S. Millard Ave. also in Lawndale, circa 1915. The next one comes from Bruce Kelleher of his relatives in front of their bungalow at 2106 S. Harvey in Berwyn circa 1920. The last one comes from Jerri Givens Wright of her grand parents John & Marie Novacek outside their house on 23rd & Kostner in Lawndale.
