Over the years I have been asked to help book a few wrestling shows, or agent some of the matches. I didnt always book just my friends, either. I selected talent that was dependable, reliable, professional, had a look, good etiquette, knew how to work or willing to learn, humble, respectful of the business and grateful for an opportunity. I would book a variety of characters that appealed to a broader audience, something for everybody. I booked a mixture of veterans and rookies against each other, to teach the rookies to slow down and relax, while keeping the vets on their game. Depending on the situation, I usually booked myself to lose to someone that we were pushing to keep the promoter happy. I view myself as a team player, focusing on the big picture and what fits into the grand scheme of things. Ive learned from dozens of promoters/bookers over the years of what to do and what NOT to do. Not being afraid to make a mistake and learning from every experience. I thoroughly enjoy the creative side of the business.
