Over the years, a few customers have insisted that something was taken from their car. Almost without exception, a thorough look through the car has resulted in the discovery of the missing item and, usually, an apology. My favorite was the woman who insisted that her cigarettes were stolen. The ensuing inspection we conducted recovered the cigarettes. Except it was really her marijuana! But not even I would expect what happened just a couple days ago. A very frequent customer approached me, excitedly, and said, I have to tell you what your guys did. Naturally, I was unsure how to react til I hear more. I lost this last week, and when I got into my car just now, your guys had found it and put it in my cup holder. She was holding her diamond bracelet. Evidently, it was wedged between the seat and the center console, but she didnt know it. And one of our employees who vacuums cars discovered it, and placed it in the cup holder. Our customer went from being very upset to being absolutely jumping for joy. It was great that she took the time to tell me.
