Then more ambition happened, and questioning, and conversations with Tibetan Lamas and serious meditators. And then came the now affectionately-termed ugly white binders that I made for friends to experiment with this desire mapping process -- which then became real, and capitalized, and published and audio-fied: The Desire Map. And then people started having...feelings. And they started OWNING THIER FEELINGS. The crap feelings; and the buoyant, delicious feelings; and the feelings they wanted to feel so much more often. And then I heard a report from a woman at a Desire Map book club. I paraphrase: I realized that I was resenting most of what I was doing in my life -- because none of my so-called obligations were making me feel the way I really want to feel. Just that one revelation changed ... everything. I need to pause here. People ask me about my path to success. Do I get up early? Am I a great delegator? Do I meditate? (Quick answers: Sometimes. Yes. And it depends your definition of meditation.) But the success of Desire Map happened because I had a revelation that I shared, and it triggered some revelations that people were ready to have.
