Oxford Dictionaries has chosen vape as the word of the year for 2014. And this is not a surprise, unfortunately. A #CDC study released in August found that more than a quarter million adolescents and teens who had never smoked traditional cigarettes used an electronic cigarette in 2013, a threefold increase from 2011. Brian King, a senior scientific advisor with the CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health says about vapes, “Aside from being highly addictive, nicotine can also have adverse health effects on the developing adolescent brain.” #quitsmoking #quitvapes
