PA - As a legion of Harrisburg police officers watched, a Dauphin County jury Wednesday afternoon convicted a city man of aggravated assault charges for a crash that severely injured Officer Daniel Peiper and city resident Selina Martin - Christopher Slaughter, 31, showed no emotion as the jury foreman announced the guilty verdicts on the two assault counts, along with individual charges of fleeing police, reckless endangerment and cocaine possession. Guidelines call for mandatory 10- to 20-year state prison sentences on the aggravated assault convictions, Chardo said. He said he will ask President Judge Todd A. Hoover to impose consecutive jail terms on each of the two assault convictions when Slaughter is sentenced in October. pennlive/midstate/index.ssf/2014/08/emotions_flow_as_jury_convicts.html#incart_river
