PAPPY IS STABLE AND RESTING. An overabundnace of fluid on his body has caused and overwhelming amount of stress on his heart. I just spoke with his nurse at OSF and she said he is very very tired but doing ok. Chest x-ray showed NO pneumonia but he has very low to NO breath sounds from his lungs which are shot. Little by little over the last several weeks and months we have watched this great man dwindle in physical size and mental sharpness. I know its just a matter of time before the good lord takes him home and Pappy has assured us all time and time again that he is prayed up and ready whenever his time here is over. WE DID NARROW DOWN TONIGHT THAT HE WANTS NO LIFE SAVING ASSISTANCE OF ANY SORT. This too has been a lengthy and tough process because in his heart of hearts he has been hoping that this too would pass and he would get better like he was even a year ago. With tear filled eyes tonight my pappy and I talked heart to heart again and I reminded him that his best days are behind him him but better days are just around the bend when he will suffer no more. We tear soaked cheeks he closed his eyes and shook his his head in agreement. I told everyone at the hospital that I am getting married tomorrow at 3pm but if there is any change for the worse I want to know immediately. TOMORROW AT 3PM I WILL MARRY MY BEST FRIEND AND I KNOW Jennifer and I have my pappys blessings. Prayers appreciated on papppys behalf and for Jennifer and I as we begin our lives as husband and wife. I was so very glad that Pappy was able to meet his great grandsons today as my precious daughter Sarah Foley came up with her hubby Mr.B to see Pappy in the E.R. We look forward to being in their presence again tomorrow along with a host of other family and friends as well. From all that I am hearing we are looking for between 100 and 300 witnesses to join us on this blessed day.
