PART OF MY God-given task (Eccl. 3:10) is co-laboring with God in shifting the mentality of His sheep from a slave mentality to a kingly mentality. What a task!!! (Im part of His special task force :p). Weve been conditioned so long as slaves that accepting the TRUTH about who we are as kings--and learning how to think, talk, and behave in a manner consistent with who God says we are in Christ, can be enormously challenging at times. Gods wants His Royal Priesthood to be ROYAL! (1 Peter 2:9). From a Royal Priesthood you SHOULD witness the behavior of royalty (1 Sam. 10:25). Its that simple. But instead, what weve been witnessing is the behavior of mere men (1 Cor. 3:3). ROYALTY is a high calling! It means wed have to say goodbye to those cherished but toxic behavior that keeps us enslaved. ROYALTY says, I refuse to spend all my lifetime being subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:15). As royal children of our Great King, we can take charge of our circumstances, rather than being a slave to them. Our thoughts and behavior wont change overnight, but if we take a stand as a king and allow the King to lead us, He will cause us to triumph so we can live daily in power and victory rather than in weakness and defeat. There are some things God has determined TO BE DONE that awaits YOUR ROYALNESS to come forth. (see Acts 4:26-28). -- ApAML The David Company
