PARTING SHOT... John Boehner keeps saying Republicans have nothing to do with all this impeachment talk. We didn’t start it, and we’re not doing it, says Boehner. Baloney. There’s only one thing wrong with what Boehner claims. Everything! While he himself may not be beating the impeachment drum, Republican politicians and conservative commentators can’t stop it. They have a bad case of impeachment fever. Again, just last Sunday, Boehner’s #2 guy, new House Majority Whip Steve Scalise went on Fox News and insisted that impeachment was still on the table for House Republicans. And yesterday, the same day Boehner insisted White House aides, not conservatives, were the only ones talking impeachment, columnist and Fox News regular Charles Krauthammer accused President Obama of planning to sign an Executive Order granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants – which, Krauthammer said, would be an impeachable offense. See what I mean? They can’t help themselves. And, as long as they continue to fan the impeachment flames, Democrats should continue to use their threats – to raise campaign funds for Democratic candidates. That’s my parting shot for today.
