PAULitical TALK | September 30, 2014 LINES HEARD FROM THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL How long have I been in politics? Well, I have seven older sisters. So, Id say Ive been in politics my whole life. A fella running for public office who tells you that government is always the problem has no incentive to make government work if he gets there, unless he wants to make a liar out of himself. Am I related to whom? Oh. Well, that depends. How well do you like him? The words math and myth are not opposite in their meanings. However, if the math doesnt add up you know its a myth. Yup. You are located just where I thought you were, Second star to the right and straight on till morning. Im going after 100% of the vote. Its kind of like a batter in baseball. Hes trying to hit every pitch he swings at, but even the best hitters are only successful 30% of the time. Hmmm. Maybe I better go after 110% of the vote? Am I a Democrat or a Republican? Well, Im an Iowan first. We planted our yard sign seeds in March and they are starting to mature beautifully. Theyll be ready for harvest in early November, and everyone will know what yield we get. I never had a reason to like my friends who live on corner lots more until now.
