PAWS Alumni Update! Thunder and Storm were two of the sweetest dogs to ever pass through the doors here at PAWS. They were given up by their owner at age 6 and 9 and are very bonded. We found some great adopters to take these sweethearts home! Thunder and Storm are doing very well. It feels like theyve been part of the family much longer than just the last two weeks—were certainly not giving them back voluntarily. These gals have settled right in and seem to love walks and sleeping in equal measure—always ready to do either at a moments notice. Theyve made friends with kids at the park, love to meet every other dog they see, walk to get their people gelato at Black Dog, stroll through the grass in Humboldt Park keeping the squirrel population on edge, and lounge on the patio at any opportunity. Its still hard for me to believe anyone was able to give them up; theyre just so wonderful and clearly were well taken care of and raised to be very gentle hounds. Despite most of the photos showing them sleeping, theyre quite active and always ready for a walk or to hang out on the patio/garden. It crossed my mind on a walk with the ThunderStorm yesterday morning that if they had not found their way to PAWS, they very well couldve been euthanized and no one else wouldve gotten to experience the joys of living with them. So thank you; we think the world of Thunder and Storm and are so glad it worked out for them to come home with us.
