PDP condemns attack on its leader Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the murderous assault on its leader and candidate from Noorabad assembly segment, Abdul Majid Padder, near Qaimoh in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district yesterday evening, saying it is deliberately done to instill fear among the people keeping view the forthcoming assembly elections in the state. “Such dastardly attacks are carried out with a special design to create fear on the ground and silence the people keeping in view the ensuing assembly elections,” a party Spokesman said in a statement. He said there is complete breakdown of law and order in Kashmir and such unfortunate incidents have become routine under the ruling National Conference regime. The Spokesman said though it is a matter of relief that Mr Padder has escaped unhurt but the incident calls for a thorough and time bound investigation to get the perpetrators of the crime to justice, as soon as possible.
