Evaluation/selection of mechanical components 5. Troubleshoot mechanical design issues during development and after production start 6. Perform prototype design experimentation 7. Perform mechanical design qualification testing 8. Complete and release design documentation 9. Research and write patents 10. Write test plans for mechanical design qualification 11. Oversee tooling vendors, coordination with molder EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum BSME degree with 7+ year’s professional experience specifically related to mechanical design.
