PEREZ TOPS SOUTH ASIA QUALIFIER, WINS TICKET TO WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP IN LONDON Current NDFP ranked Number 1 darter Christian “The Titan” Perez emerged as the last man standing in the three-day tourney participated in by more than 800 darters as he outclassed compatriot Bryan Eribal, 5-2, in an all-Filipino finals to top the PDC South Asia Qualifier in Malaysia and win the much-covered slot for the 2014-15 Ladbrokes World Darts Championship slated for December 12 in London, England. For his feat, the 34-year-old Perez won the championship trophies, cash prize and is already assured of at least 3,500 British Pounds or P252,140 as an official representative of South Asia to the world’s richest annual event. This will mark the third time that Perez will play in London as he was the first Filipino darter to have registered a win in the world’s most prestigious dart competition in 2009. He was also the country’s representative in 2012 after winning the Philippine Qualifier held at the Ambassador Hotel in Manila. “Win the game, don’t get lost. Eton na ang oras ng laban. Don’t worry about failures, think where your dart will land, fly your dart beautifully. We are hopeful you will get this chance again. Matira na ang matibay.
