PERILOUS TIMES : RELATING WITH THE TRUTH!!! (TAKE TIME AND READ PLEASE). John 8 : 32 And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free. One of the signs of the last days is the explosion of lies and deceitful living. It is now common to hear the people say there is no truth in the world any more. But the truth has been and will always be with us. It is not the absence of truth that troubles the world, but what they do with the truth. What have you done with the truth as a child of GOD? The word Truth is the actual state of a matter, verifiable, objective and absolute in nature. JESUS CHRIST IS THE SOURCE OF SPIRITUAL TRUTH. (John 14: 6, John 17:17). There are three qualities that can make us relate well with the Truth: i. Conviction - The conviction through the power of the Holy Spirit makes one believe the truth. (John 3 : 19-21). In this our generation and even within the Christian circle, people find lies more appealing and more believable than the Truth! ii. Courage - This makes one accept and identify with the truth. ( 1 Kings 18:20-22, 19: 18). In this passage there were 7000 prophets in reserve, but only Elijah could come out and identify with the truth. Why do people fear to side with the Truth? iii. Connection - This makes one reap the blessings of the Truth. ( John 15 :1; 7-8). Only the True vine can give blessings of the Truth. Take note that NOT ALL BLESSINGS ARE GOTTEN IN TRUTH! LORD JESUS stood in front of Pilate, yet Pilate asked what is the truth? what a tragedy. Though lies appear to abound, truth shall ultimately conquer! Lies are sprinters and often go ahead of us, but truth is a marathon runner, and always catches up before the finishing line. Child of GOD always DEFEND THE TRUTH NOW AND THE TRUTH WILL DEFEND YOU IN ETERNITY! REJECT THE TRUTH NOW, AND THE TRUTH SHALL REJECT YOU IN ETERNITY!
