PESHAWAR, The teaching staff of Frontier Education Foundation (FEF) has demanded of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Parvaiz khatak to remove uncertainties of female teaching staff with regard to their services and to provide special grant to the foundation to help meet its requirements. lecturers said that when rules of FEF were framed in 2008 the teaching staff was not given representation. They said that the rights of the teaching community were violated in the FEF Rules that put 300 teaching staff of the foundation on contract basis without any future prospects. Most of them have over 12 years service for the foundation and was getting only Rs.13000, The teaching staff of FEF was on contract basis and their services would not be regularized as per rules of the foundation. . They are on strike partialy from 2009 for their demands but the foundation was not paying any heed. The overall percentage of FEF colleges are 80-85 percent and most of FEF students qualify for medical colleges.The minimum qualification of FEF teachers are M.A, M.Sc and they perform their duties to their best, Fozia said. According to the rules of FEF all the teaching staff, administrative staff and Class-IV staff would be on contract basis and there was no rules for regularization of their services. The teaching staff asked the provincial government to merge FEF in the education department instead of opening new colleges as it was providing best education to 5700 female students presently and would further flourish with the support of the government. Their future was uncertain and pay scale was very low, they demanded of the provincial government to redress grievances of the teaching staff. It is pertinent to mention here that Frontier Education Foundation was set up as corporate body under Act III of 1992 to take measures for promotion and development of education in private sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A total of 15 colleges were set up by FEF across the province for two year contract besides establishing Frontier Education Foundation Academy in Kohat to provide training to female lecturers and it headquarters on Michni Road
