PF BUFI: BUS FARES TO GO UP AGAIN FOLLOWING FUEL PRICE HIKE The looming hike in bus fares has Lusaka commuters in shock and fear. Some commuters have told Muvi TV news that the current bus fares are already unbearably high and that any upward adjustment will be hell. Public service vehicle operators in Lusaka have indicated that they will soon convene with stakeholders on the possibility of increasing bus fares following this week’s increase in fuel prices. Watch the video here where one old woman among other citizens is complaining that people’s legs are already swollen due to walking long distances because they can’t afford bus fares. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MPLyBY7ynDU On Thursday the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) increase of fuel which shot up by 7.22 percent, diesel by 8.75 per cent and Kerosene by 9.45 per cent while the wholesale prices have been adjusted by 11.15 per cent. Chanda Chimba warned Zambians that under PF there will be untold misery and suffering but instead he was arrested and is facing criminal charges. Vice-president Guy Scott last week said Zambians are just beginning to enjoy the fruits of voting for PF.
