PGEJ AND THE SOCIAL CONTRACT WITH NIGERIAN YOUTHS: In 2011, President Goodluck Jonathan entered into a Social Contract with Nigerian youths who constitute 65% of the Voting Population to vote him as Nigerias president while he will in turn create employment for the millions of employable but unemployed youths. Provide social amenities and security. So far, PGEJ has kept to his promises. He has created millions of jobs. He has appointed a lot of vibrant youths into key offices. He has created a conducive atmosphere for young entrepreneurs to thrive. The federal government also gives incentives like the You Win Programme to youths. Innovative Nigerian youths now have confidence that they can rise to the apex of their career without dehumanizing themselves. Despite the high level of sabotage against the current administration, President Jonathan has done so much to revive all sectors of the Nigerian economy. PGEJ did not create any of these problems but so far he has been able to solve so many and has also succeeded in restoring hope to Nigerians. I therefore wish to use this rare opportunity to appeal to Nigerian youths not to be deceived by those who want to take us back to the dark age. Until recently, Nigeria was ranked among the most corrupt countries in the world but today the story has changed. Nigeria is now second largest economy in Africa. There is hope for Nigeria and Nigerians. What President Jonathan need is our prayer and support. Those who sermonize about change are same people who helped to plunge our great country into the mess that our God-sent messiah is trying to clean up. Finally, I wish to thank our great youths for the love and solidarity to Mr President who also belong to the youth constituency. We did it in 2011, let us consolidate in 2015 and secure a brighter future for ourselves and unborn generation. Thanks and God bless.
