PHL AMBASSADOR TO KENYA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO COMOROS 08 January 2015 – Kenya-based Philippine Ambassador Bayani V. Mangibin presented his credentials to Presdent Ikililou Dhoinine of the Union of the Comoros on November 20, 2014 in the country’s capital of Moroni. The Philippine Embassy in Nairobi covers 14 jurisdictions and Comoros is the first country where the Ambassador’s credentials were presented after Kenya. Ambassador Mangibin was welcomed by President Dhoinine who acknowledged the similarities between the two countries and expressed the hope that the growing relationship between them continues in the future. Ambassador Mangibin met with several key officials in Comoros including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation El-Arnif Said Hassane and Secretary General Ismail Chanfi of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; Ambassador Ghulam Hoosein Asmal of the South African Embassy and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps; Ambassador Mirhane Bourhane, Head of the Consular Department; Director General Hilali Hair El-Karim of the General Directorate of Police and of National Security; Ambassador Mohamed Ali Dia, Director of Protocol; and Mr. Maoudjoudi Mhadji, Director of Africa and Asian Department, among others.
