PLAN FOR STUDYING THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR..2014... LUKE CHAPTER 18. Lessons learnt: -We should pray persistently, we should pray without ceasing. -Persistent prayer breaks resistance, no matter what kind of resistance we encounter, if we are persistent in prayers, something must happen, the resistance must be broken. -When we are persistent in our prayer, even if people dont share our faith, they will find themselves favouring us or aggreeing with us. -We should always be and remain humble before God,in our prayers, in how we treat others and in how we relate with God. -We should remember never to become proud and look down on others because of their wrongs, mistakes or situations. -We should realise that its by Gods grace that we we are who we are, and it is by His grace that we have what we have and are where we are today. -Friends it easy to become proud and look down on people who dont share our faith or people who dont know much about God or even take advantage of them, but we should always remain humble and operate in Love because we were once in the same state before Gods mercies saved us. -Gods mercy is not owned by anyone, it is a gift from God. -We should be child-like and not childish in Godly things. We should be child-like meaning that we should believe like children, have faith like children in our Father God, we should forgive and love like children, and we should be innocent to sin like children but we should not be childish and ignorant or unaware of sin,unaware of doing wrong, for the kingdom of God belongs to people who are child-like and not childish. -As Christians, we are expected to love God with everything we have, and our heart should be in God and not what God blesses us with. -Its easy to start worshipping the blessings and forget the Blesser, we should remember that though God blesses us, We should never let the blessings take Gods place in our life, we should not forget God. -Jesus warns of possessions and riches, as they can shift our focus and our hearts from God to the riches and we start to worship them instead of God, such that we cannot do without them. -All things which are impossible to man are possible with God. -Though a rich man entering heaven is as hard to a camel trying to go through the eye of a needle, since riches corrupt and shift the heart from God to riches, it is possible to be rich and enter heaven through God. -No service or Sacrifice for Gods kingdom shall go unrewarded or unseen, God shall reward us in thus world and in the world to come. -Jesus teaches us that we should always be aware of our purpose and calling. -Jesus has power to open the blind eyes. -We should not let discouragements, dissapointments, our pasts, our mistakes, our situations to silence us from calling on God, we should reamin persistent and should seek God and call on Him, our faith should be held firm, we should continue to believe because we know that our breakthrough, our healing, our miracle, our blessing, is in God. What God is saying.. -Their is power is persistent Prayers, you can create, destroy, build and receive through persistent prayers. I have availed power in prayer for you Key verses: -Chapter 18: verses 1, 4-5, 6, 10-14, 16-17, 22, 24-25, 27, 29, 31, 38-43.. Prayer Points: -Lets pray that we shall receive the grace to Pray persistently -Lets pray that God shall help us to remain humble, loving, caring. -Lets pray for the grace to child-like and not childish. -Lets pray that we shall not ley the blessing God blesses us, take His place.
