PLEASE BE AWARE!! Recently WHO has announced a new pandemic disease...Its non other than EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE. Believed to have its origin from Fruit Bats in West Africa, this disease has now spread over Nigeria and is likely to spread all over the world if precautions are not taken on time. CAUSE OF DISEASE Direct transmission : Manual contact with the patient through wound, faecal matter of the infected person, through infected animals ( monkeys, bats, chimpanzees, pigs), through semen of the infected patient Indirect transmission: from infected persons to medical personnels and even general population if Universal precautions are not followed. Incubation period: 2-21 days SIGNS and Symptoms: Headache General weakness Sore throat High grade fever. Vomiting Diarrhea. Both internal and external bleeding Treatment. There are no medicines for this disease so far. So it is treated symptomatically, taking Precaution is the major option to prevent this disease. This disease is really fatal.
