PLEASE CROSS-POST & SHARE FOR DONATIONS. Butler, the medical Bulldog out of Carson. (A4742669) Meet Butler ! Butler came to me Wed night at 10pm by default. Butler waited at the Carson shelter sick while his URI got worse and worse until it entered his lungs, only to have his CTA flake out on him. His IP was an amazing woman had been keeping an eye on him to make sure he was safe. When the CTA cancelled or was a no show, she went in at the 11th hour and pulled him as a private adopter to make him safe. She brought him home where her St Bernard/Bulldog mix went after him, as his neuter was deferred for his URI and various other health issues. She is not a rescuer and is not at fault as many people dont know that neutered males will react like this with unaltered males. In a panic and living downtown, she started reaching out to people on FB for someone that could take him in, and my name came up. The only option for him would have been to sleep in her car with her, and that was not a safe option, so they found my number and reached out, and here we are now....... Butler had been started on antibiotics and a decongestant to start clearing his lungs and he has started eating on his own. He is a very arthritic dog, stiff in the front shoulders, and x-rays will tell me of his hip condition. He has been started on Joint Strong and Rimadyl for pain and mobility. Butler has an orange sized tumor which I will have sampled and sent out for biopsied and double chronic ear infections. They have been flushed and treated. Butlers most serious issue is his right eye upper and lower Entropian. It is so long standing without repair the entire side of his face is a raging wet yeast infection and constant twitching and spasming. It is like being poked in the eye, everyday, all day for however old he is, which seems to be in the 5 to 6 year range. This eye will require surgery, and until his office visit tomorrow I wont know if his left eye will need surgery as well. It is difficult to judge without Lidocaine in the eye to numb and relax the spasming. With the right side so bad, the left reacts, and it may just be reflexes. He is very hand shy on his right side deservedly so. Poor guy is in so much pain. I will update with estimate tomorrow for the Entropian surgery. Please donate to this guy so he can see without having to be in pain and blinking every second. PayPal address is: smashfacerescue911@yahoo Please memo Butler and mark as friends & family. Larger donations ($50 to $100 and up) can be called directly into the vets office under my name. That is Five Star Vet in Sylmar (closed Saturdays, open M-F & Sundays) (818) 362-6599 Thank you all in advance. As soon as his lungs are clear Id like to get his surgery scheduled. I will update as always. youtu.be/bp6h9DRXZmc
